Hi,
You can use the VNC to view other systems after establish the LAN
connection.You asked for KVM switch.I think that you may not have LAN.
Some linux distribution are having preinstalled VNC.You may use
this.Unless you have to install the vnc package which can be downloaded from
vnc.com.

Why use a KVM? Why not use VNC client on one system
other. Thus you will be able to see the otherdesktop native.
