http://search.yahoo.com/   is  looking   for  3-4   years  experienced
engineers  with strong unix  and automation  skills for  its Bangalore
based center.

Job profile:

* Developing (and improving) tools  to monitor real-time statistics of
  the software,  the network, and the traffic  to search.yahoo.com and
  associated   search  destinations   (Image  search,   video  search,
  etc.,.).  Its *not*  just  'system administration'.   Its all  about
  automating the process of administration.

* Be  a  part   of  the  team  that  keeps   search.yahoo.com  up  and
  running. Help with hardware and software upgrades.

Requirements:

* Need to have a fairly decent tools development skills.

* Excellent command over Unix, shell scripting and perl.

* Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.

* prior dot-com administration / operations experience preferred.

* Should  be willing  to carry  the 'pager'  for one  week in  a month
  (weekends inclusive) and respond to alerts immediately.

* Database skills is a plus.
