Hmm.. This _was_ the case., but however I dont think it is so
now. Adobe Photoshop is facing a tough competition from
`Gimp'. However, I do understand what you are coming to tell.
Now., this was a case long ago., when we did not have Free software to
replace every proprietary system. At that period people were forced to
be content with what the got at the nearest Software outlet. Today the
case is different. We have a `Free Software' equivalent of almost
every `proprietary software'. In fact we have better software than
proprietary systems. But many people dont know yet. They've got used
to being slaves. They dont know what freedom they lost coz., they've
lived like that since the first day they touched computers. I was like
that until I read an essay of RMS. So., this is what we are trying to
do. We are trying to tell people that they have lost something.. their
freedom. Only when people realize their slavery, they'll crave for
freedom. People who live in the dark thinking that they are living
under the sun need to be awoken. Once awoken, their approach towards
the issue will be different.
So, I HAVE TO REPHRASE that line, though I don't know if it is a
line from an email or a quote from some great Gnuminary.

some limited freedom/ability, when none existed originally, I don't
think we should complain. We can probably boycott their goods,
holding a high-moral ground, but surely, we can't complain."
Hmm.. No one is complaining. All., that the FSF and other `Free
Software movement' supporters are doing is just pointing out the
lameness of such a "limited freedom provider" to the public. That is
not complaining. And., such a `pointing out' would be done only when
there is a replacement. Before there is a replacement, the community
tries to figure out one instead of grumbling that a `Free' alternative
is not available.. atleast., I've not seen such a case in the past 4
years I've been a `Free Software' patron.
Hence, a rephrase of my original statement will convey a wrong
meaning.
