Dear friends,
i am using RH9 machine ,i needed mysql 4.0 version and higher to
install one software.
version available is mysql-3.23.54a-11. How to remove the mysql 3.23
and install mysql 4.20.
if i put rpm -e mysql
root@gemehost mysql20]# rpm -e mysql
error: Failed dependencies:
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed)
libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-5
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed)
mod_auth_mysql-1.11-12
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed)
perl-DBD-MySQL-2.1021-3
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed)
php-mysql-4.2.2-17
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed) qt-MySQL-3.1.1-6
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed) MyODBC-2.50.39-11
Is it i have to remove each one by putting rpm -e . or another method
available in linux to remove mysql old version and install new version.
