I have a digi cam, from which I upload photos quite routinely into my
desktop which has *only* Linux. But its not a Canon Digi cam but a
Fujifilm. I haven't checked it out in Ubuntu but when I plug my digi cam
into the USB port, FC4 opens up a window showing my pics in the digi cam
and gives me an option to move my picture to a location in my PC. I
don't use any other app. to transfer pics from my digi cam to my
FC4.Think if it can work with Fujifilm cam, it should also work without
any hitch with a canon digicam.
