Hi,
I want to use rsync for my backup works between
two hosts(in same network or different networks).
1. Do, I need to have rsync on both the machines.?
2. Should one of the machine should run in daemon mode.
(for any backup tasks)?
When I tried rsync, (rsync version 2.5.7 protocol version 26)
mymachine:/usr/local/bin > rsync --verbose
user1@xxxxxxx:/remote_base/directory1/all.txt /local_base
I got the following error
remshd: Login incorrect.
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(165)
could you tell the solution or why the error occured.
