[Ilugc] scp query

I have a query in using scp.
Can I mention the hostname(or ip address) in both the source and target
field in scp syntax.
That is, can I copy a file in machine A to machine B from machine C. If
yes,please send me the command.

It is possible if you can use key mechanism as authentication method.
I am not sure about passwords.
