Dear All,
Iam new to linux. I have installed Redhat 8.0 in my
system with dual boot, Iam able to browse the sites,
but iam unable to view java, flash etc.,. The error
message i have received is "application/x-java-vm". So
i downloaded the "j2sdk-1_4_2_08_linux-i586-rpm.bin"
and used the command "chmod 775
j2sdk-1_4_2_08_linux-i586-rpm.bin" and then i used
"./j2sdk-1_4_2_08_linux-i586-rpm.bin" after this i
used "rpm -ivh j2sdk-1_4_2_08_linux-i586-rpm.bin". it
is successfully installed without any errors. But i
don't know how to activate the java. I have install
from the root directory. Please help me. i have
searched in the google also but i am confused!!!.
