hi all,
I have a file with extention tar.gz.
I tried to uncompress this file as tar -zxvf <file>.tar.gz.
I got an error as follows :-
tar: z: unknown option
tar: usage tar [-]{txruc}[eONvVwAfblhm{op}][0-7[lmh]] [tapefile] [blocksize]
[[-C directory] file] ...
because I am working in HP unix. but -z option is for linux.
how do I uncompress this file ?
