hello all !
this happened in fedora 8
on mouse over the mp3 file started playing
but i guess it hanged
so clicked on the x button of the window
and force quit it
then my desktop's items vanished and had a blank desktop
[dinesh@localhost ~]$ ps -e | grep nau
3137 ? 00:00:00 nautilus
[dinesh@localhost ~]$ kill 3137
[dinesh@localhost ~]$ ps -e | grep nautilus
3238 ? 00:00:01 nautilus
as u see above nautilus has got reloaded and my desktop items were back.
