Chris, Jaws might be getting in the way here - try preceding your arrow key presses with Insert+3 (you'll need to use the number row, not the keypad) - this makes Jaws ignore the next key press. Best wishes. After unsuccessful attempts with one particular Ear Training program (Train Your Ears, EQ Edition), I've investigated a couple more options and have found one to be somewhat accessible. Note: this is ear training for audio engineers, not musicians looking to learn how to identify notes and chords. V-plugs Mr. SoundMan: totaly inaccessible. I managed to get past the license screen using Jaws 13's convenient OCR, but that's it. Don't bother with this one. Harman International, How To Listen: This one looks promising! Installation went well. Running the program, I was able to pick a type of drill from a list and start playback. Once the audio was playing, I was able to find and click on A and B buttons with the Jaws cursor, as well as read onscreen instructions. The keyboard shortcuts to play the equalized version and flat versions of the audio worked. However, I have yet to get the arrow keys to work properly. According to the manual, up/down and left/right arrows are used to hone in on your answer. But pressing these, with screen echo set to All, I hear nothing from Jaws. If we can figure out a way to get some feedback when moving the arrows, we just might be in business with this program! It looks very promising! I need someone with more Jaws and possibly a little HSC or scripting experience to take a closer look. It will probably help if you have Jaws 13 for its convenient OCR. Here's a link to the How to Listen Website: http://harmanhowtolisten.blogspot.com/ If you have trouble downloading the software or pdf manual, I put the Windows version and PDF in a zip file here: http://tinyurl.com/cavbc7t This might be really cool if we can figure out how to make it work for us. I have not contacted Harman yet, because I want to know specifically what to ask for, if anything. so, anybody want to have a fiddle with this and help out? Chris P.S. Another site, www.quiztones.net, just confused me. Apparently there is a Windows version available, but all I could find were links to get the Apple app version for portable devices like Smartphones, and I have no way of testing that here. -------------------------------------------------- CTS MASTERING: PROFESSIONAL MIXING AND MASTERING Clear True Sound www.ctsmastering.com and be sure to "like us" on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/CTS-Mastering/139114066128698 __________o?= View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts __________ View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts
