have you tried using HotSpotClicker for this? it might just do the job for you, depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, what the cell/window is called, whether it has windows of other duplicate names in the hierarchy, or, if it's either in a static enough position within the application window, or, could be tied to a particular piece of moving text thta is static enough to be reliable, then hsc should be able to give you some joyh in this as a simple approach option first? if you'd like to take a look, go to: http://www.hotspotclicker.org and flip me bak if you have questions on how it works. don't worry yet about setSwitching or prompt creattion, just place a Use HotSpotClicker.jsb" statement at the top of the apps's Script file,, and when altTabbing in, allow hsc to announce that it's placed all it's keyboard drivability into the app's JKM, and read the documentation upon choosing your relative positioning mode for hotspots, and see if it produces enough joy? Tip: if the blank cell you have to click in, is in a pretty static position in the app's main window, then choose application relative, as your positioning mode, in the first dialog box of the hotspot assignment wizard. and, when asked to remove dynamic information from the various windownames as part of spot definition, my advice would be, in that case, to be pretty careful not to leave anything in any of those windownames, which will break the validation, by not being there possibly, next time the environment comes up. i.e. take out any actual document references etc from app or realWindow names, and from CurrentNames, if your not using current window as your positioning mode choice, I'd personally delete everything from that. as leaving info in those current window name slots, can break joy more often than producing it in my experience. hth.
