If you turn of help messages in speech verbosity (Settings Center) then JAWS
doesn't say this message.
JAWS speech logging says that this message is from function readSelectedCells
(file excelfunc.jss). I can't say nothing more about that.

Hello,
When you hide rows or columns in excel 2016, JAWS 2020 announces "Adjacent to
hidden cells" as you move around the spreadsheet. If you're moving around a
lot, this message gets really annoying.
I'd like to find a way to suppress this message. I can't find a setting to
turn it off.
I've searched everywhere (scripts, message files) and can't determine just
where it is coming from.
Any ideas?
