Did you first do a synchronize documentation on Internet Explorer.jss? There's been a bug in Jaws for at least 10 years that if you make a change to that script file, compile it, then do a synchronize documentation, and again compile you will get random compile errors like the type you indicated. I never synchronize the Internet Explorer.jss file for that reason.
