Hi All,

It's great to know that there are users of SAP applications who need
Accessibility support. I am working for SAP and responsible for the Jaws
Scripts (SAP Screen Reader Extensions) that make SAPGUI 640 or SAPGUI 710
accessible. We'll be able to assist any users with any queries on the same. At
the same time we would also like feedback on the scripts and any improvements
that you as users would like to see in the scripts.

Kiran Kaja.

We have a customer with whom I have been working who uses JAWS with Sap.
The company you are concerned with are likely to have access to SAP tech
notes, some of which relate to using SAP with jaws.

Our customer is using JAWS 8 and I asked the company to install SAP V6.40
with screen-reader GUI extensions. This is a requirement in order that the
JAWS scripts can interact with it.

The accessibility is generally good, although I did need to modify the
scripts a little to iron out a few problems, to add context sensitive and
hotkey help, and to add some bespoke commands for the user.

If you like, some time next week I can send you notes on what the company
should do on the server and locally. Please send me a message if you would
like this to
brian.hartgen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
as this will remind me to do it for you.
