[jawsscripts] Making an object globaly avilable

I was wondering how you make an object globally available? I have this code
in the AutoStartEvent:
 

Var object vs_jaws = GetObject("Connect")

 

Which tends to work, but how do you make it available outside of the
AutoStartEvent?
