Maybe take a look at the MenuModeEvents.
Maybe you can isolate something from the control and use it in one of these
events.
Good luck

Subject: [jawsscripts] Menu not speaking when opening
Hi folks. A new version of the program I write scripts for has come out. One
minor issue is that whenever some menus are opened, Jaws does not report
that the menu has actually opened. It does open and pressing down arrow
goes through the menu as normal. In the previous version, Jaws announces
"context menu".
So, when looking at reclassing this control, I noticed there's no relevant
option to choose from. The clas of this menu is:
QTQWindowDropDownShadowSaveBits, which is the same as in the previous
version. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best approach for getting
jaws to speak this menu when it's opened? I appreciate this maybe down to
an issue with the core program, so I can try to report it, but I wouldn't be
hopeful it would be addressed. Thanks, best steve.
