[jawsscripts] Reading Drop Down Menus

Hi
I have a situation with a website
where I need to read a drop down menu. In Internet Explorer 8 I can use
the JAWS curser to locate the menu menus and the simulated left mouse
click to activate the items. However, in Internet Explorer 9 the jaws
curser stays stubbornly away from the menu items. My question is isn't
there some jaws function that reads drop down menus with out having to go
to all this trouble? I keep thinking I read something about this some
where.
