That's probably how JAWS does it. There's a JCF option in default to have JAWS
disable the numlock key, so it can do it but does not appear it does it using
JAWS script.

Thanks anyway. Although I'd love to think differently, I'm coming to believe
that JAWS can't do it. Meanwhile, I'm going to experiment with sending numpad
keypresses via Window's PostMessage function.
