[jawsscripts] String manipulation

Hi,  I have a three digit number.  The first two positions  can be zeroes.  
What I want to do is to not have jaws speak the zeroes whether there is one or 
two of them but rather just speak the whole number left after the zeroes have 
been suppressed or removed.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can accomplish this?
