To repeat something the JAWS scripting community has known for years, there is a need for a web site that aggregates and updates links to JAWS script packages. It needs to be as comprehensive as possible, and there needs to be a way for a script developer to post a description and a link to the site. The site should be able to host script packages for developers who do not have their own web sites. I know of a blind expert in Drupal and PHP who developed a site for me http://NonvisualDevelopment.org under my direction within the Drupal framework. He is a computer science student who is willing to do such work very cheaply at this time: for $5 an hour! One of his own sites is http://Blind-Planet.com I propose that we develop a consensus design via discussion on this list, and then collect contributions to pay for such work. I think the Drupal framework is the best content management system to use for this at present, certainly as good as alternatives and one that blind people, including this developer, have been using. If the webmaster of JAWSScripts.com is willing, that could be the location of the site. Otherwise, we can start another. Reactions?
