Note that provided the "PerFormScript()" built-in function is called with
the original script name as it's parameter, this would be a method of
modifying existing core scripts. This way, any additional code would be
executed, plus the default behaviour.
I know in this case you want to completely supersede the default
performance, but thought I'd throw it in anyway. Smile.
Also note, that I too am a novice, so am myself still learning. Perhaps one
of the veterans will jump in here if anything I've said is inaccurate.

Perhaps someone will correct me, but since the default behaviour is being
overridden, an alternative thing that can be done is when creating the
script, just name it "SayNextLine" and "SayPriorLine as appropriate. This
way, the keystrokes will just be inherited. Perhaps the only drawback to
this, is the script won't be distinguishable with a name describing more
accurately it's behaviour, but as it's application-specific perhaps this
wouldn't matter.

pressing alt+the vertical arrow keys, and the reading line is up/down arrow

Scientific\JAWS\15.0\Settings\enu\DEFAULT.JKM. Continuing will replace the
existing assignment.

I don't want to replaced this standered keystrokes for jaws, but I only want
to modify in this application which I'm using to study the various things.
So may I do this? If yes then please help me.
