If by countdown timer script you mean something like "have a message
pop up 10 minutes from now" I would say that jaws scripting is really
not the right environment for the task.
Jaws reloads scripts whenever the active application changes which
would make that kind of thing extremely difficult.
If you mean something else you need to provide a more complete description.
