[jawsscripts] urgent, JAWS won't read dropDown Combo boxes in a cloud-based browser front end Browser system?

Hi Scripters.
I realize this is kinda ill-informed/lame so far, As I won't get my actual
hands/ears on to this project till tomorrow, but, wanted just to prime you guys
first, if you would be so kind, as to things I might look for, when the person
whose called me in to check this workplace setup for this client,
Whose had some experience with jaws but certainly isn't an expert on it,
says Jaws will not read the "drop Down' boxes as he calls them, in this
particular system?
Which I'm presuming are the combo boxes?
But apparently reads other edit box fields and buttons ok.
Obviously I gotta check what state forms mode is in, and trial turning that to
manual and hitting enter etc,
As well as turning virtual cursor off, but, any other thoughts on this very
welcome!

My second thought was that there might be some java Back end in this setup,
which thus might benefit from an installation of the Java Access Bridge etc.
But the person at the company I'm dealing with, Whose not an IT expert,
wasn't convinced there was any java in this system, his thinking being that
since it has been designed to be accessible from iDevices as well, that this
meant it probably didn't have java code, since he felt iDevices didn't support
Java.
Would that be an accurate assumption though?
given that I thought often these cloud-based systems were smart enough to be
flipping various types of front-end code to optimally accommodate whatever
system it was being viewed on?

So the system is being accessed from a browser, and at this point I didn't ask
him which browser,
And I asked him firstly had he hit the jaws+Zed to turn off Virtual Cursor, to
see if the Combo boxes navigated properly when that was disabled,
But, I'm really pretty unknowledgeable other than trialing that, or installing
Java Access Bridge, or trying all three browser Front Ends, Internet explorer,
FireFox, and maybe Google Chrome.

Would any of you guys care to offer me any other of your thoughts/wisdom as to
other things I might trial tomorrow when I get onsite with the system?

I'd very much appreciate any thoughts on this.
I'll also of course see if anything's viewable/readable onScreen with jaws
Cursor, but if anyone's ever come across this, and any solutions they may've
devised, either scripted or alternatively, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks so much.

Regards
Geoff C.
