It will be very helpful for Indian people. As more and more people are using mobile and portable devices a TTS with support Indian language will really improve their lives. Interested people can contribute to this. Please see the forwarded mail thread for more info. Dhvani was started some time back and the development slowed down as the original developers were busy with other stuffs. Now Shrini and I are planning to improve the code. Shrini has put the code in https://github.com/tshrinivasan/dhvani-tts for easy collaboration. As the code base is small more people can easily understand and improve it and it is a great software for students to contribute code. This can be a great platform for everyone to learn, get introduced to many like minded people and have fun. Through hosting it in github we are planning to continue the good work done so far. > Share your thoughts if anything to be modified in the github pages. Need to update doc and readme files to point the github repository instead of sourceforge. Pointing it out will help users in getting the latest code. Migrating other content from sourceforge will be better. Having a custom page with dhvani's description will be great. Expecting to have more contributors to dhvani and more users.
