Hi Kanchilug members,

I have been lucky enough to track/follow the rise of kanchilug through one
of my friends at work. I cannot find words the express the joy in seeing a
community grow & expand with members who have displayed team spirit without
expecting anything in return for their efforts, with just one motive of
making the world share the joys that each of you all are enjoying. This true
selflessless is by far the top reason for your sucess.

There might be many silient leaders in this group who are pushing from
behind to expand this empire, but its the leader in each one of you all is
what is helping the evolution of this group. I am in no doubt this group is
going create history in the ever impressive linux world.

I am a strong believer of self driven communities not only becasue it
brings sucess on a common goal, but also because it shapes & creates
innovative leaders & brings out the best in them making them more confident
each day. I do this for a living & get paid for it, you guys are doing it
without any expectation, which is a distinction by itself.

If i may, i would like to share some of my thoughts on how this community
can achieve overall sucess & feel it at the same time too.

Community shapes better when each member of the community, leads an event
or task [ongoing or single] & bring in participation to the ideas they
strongly believe. It enough if we have moderators to just ensure the motto
of the community is not trespassed but the moderators themselves need not be
the leads of all events. I believe letting the idea generator lead the event
which will help create more leaders of tomorrow.

We tend to hide behind participation as contribution to community
development whereas our true contribution is indivdual ideas & leading those
ideas to sucess.

Spread your wings, do not cuddle into one room just to agree or disagree on
ideas, which is required but that on its own should not be the primary
agenda. Represent your community by participating in code Jams, other forums
& learn, teach & preach new opensource technologies. label your community
name under your signatures.

Your should also focus on mastering & feeling confident to use English as a
medium. Lets face it, its the prominent language in the web. Ensure you are
comfortable with it & do not hesitate to re learn spoken english through
schools, its the primary tool with which i have risen in the corporate world
.

What you are now & togather with the points above, i feel you would stand
out & when you look back over years you will feel the satisfaction of having
made a difference.

Kudos to this community & continue the excellence.

A humble Fan.
