A nice palette cleanser from the awfulness of DUNE6 (and an SVP for me due to
not finishing by 02 Feb 2018).
I love the characters, setting and concepts in the Laundry series by Charles
Stross. This is Book 8 in the series and I’ve read all the previous ones.
It begins with The Laundry being made public knowledge and our protagonist
being interviewed by Jeremy Paxman. The theme so far is around privatisation,
and Stross is very good at carrying a theme while also portraying interesting
characters and a compelling story with some good action.
Due to flu keeping me awake, I’m already 30% through this book (purchased on
my Amazon Kindle).
