Started reading THE OBELISK GATE by N. K. Jemisin. This is the second
book in 'The Broken Age' series.
Finished reading THE OBELISK GATE by N. K. Jemisin today 2019-01-21.
I enjoyed this less than THE FIFTH GATE. While well written and
interesting, it reads as table-setting for the concluding book in the
trilogy. It also suffers from a little bit of re-treading similar
ground: Nassun's exploration of orogeny isn't hugely dissimilar from
Damaya's in the first book, and is less interesting a second time.
