That clarifies what we saw this afternoon, Sunday. Your photo is more clearly
the American Pipit.
Our first recorded spotting of this Pipit was at Boles Road Lake, February 18,
1979.
The old bird books of the time call it 'Water Pipit'. The name was changed to
American Pipit sometime in the distant past.
Anyway, we did see one today, about half mile north of East 50th St on CR2800,
aka Boles Road, just east of the road. I corrected my photo, thanks to yours.
