Here is one last reminder before tomorrow’s cleanup at avenue C playa( for
those who are interested)
Date: 11-20-21
Time: 10 am -1pm
Where: avenue C and 46th St.
Parking: 4808 Ave C
Parking update:
Folks can park in the Stripes lot off 50th and avenue A. Look for us to be
gathered on the west side of the Dollar General store. The roll off dumpster
and city employees will be set up near there at avenue c.
While the official
Start time is 10 am some of us will meet at 8 amto get a head start. Feel
free to join us.
Water and a snack will
be provided.
I’m so excited to see this opportunity come to fruition.
Sometimes it does take a village and I’m pretty darned impressed with our
village.
I’m excited to share that we finally got the details for this clean up
project put together with the folks at Keep Lubbock Beautiful. It has been
months in the making.

As usual, come and go as you can if you can’t do the entire 3 hours.
Those working near the water might want to bring mud boots.
The city will
provide trash bags, safety vests, grabbers and a roll off dumpster. We also
have a couple trailers we will use to haul off the tires.
(If you are in need of volunteer hours this is a great chance
before the end of the year.)
