Plus if bees and wasps are a problem, a 5:1 ratio (water to sugar) is still
attractive to hummers but not so much to the bees!

I recommend bottled or filtered water. Our water is so harsh. Don’t know if
boiling it is enough. I’d love to hear from others about it. The fella at the
Hummer House near San Angelo is the one who recommended bottled or filtered
water. Which it’s s great place to see birds and you don’t have to stay at the
House to enjoy the trails.

Visiting the first week of May were:
6 Wilson's Warblers
2 MacGillivray's Warblers
2 Orange-Crowned Warblers
1 Audubon's Yellow-Rumped Warbler
1 Hermit Thrush
Question: What do folks here recommend as the best nectar for a hummingbird
feeder?
Thanks,
Bill
