My husband and I went to Clapp Park this morning to check it out.
The water levels are high so the playa looks good. The concrete bridge
part of the dike between the 2 parts of the playa has less than an inch
of water over it. It was easily walked across.
Highlights of a quick walk were: Mississippi Kite, Yellow Crowned Night
Heron, a large egret that I think was a Great Egret but we did later see
a Cattle egret.
There were also dulcet tones from a bull frog.
Forget the address for Clapp Park below.

Birding Birds
Hope that everyone has had a good, birdie Spring. Come see summer at the Park.
Please join other local birders for our monthly birding survey of Clapp Park ( 4111 University Ave, Lubbock, TX).
Meet at the Garden and Arts Center - Clapp Park parking lot by- 8 am.
Who knows, there might even be a donut hole or two there for consumption.
