Jordan and I drove down to Carlsbad to look for the blue mockingbird
and found it pretty quick this morning. It was beautiful and very
talkative. We ran into birders from College Station, San Antonio, and
Los Alamos who were all just as excited as we were to find it. We even
got our kids to see it. They were less impressed, but someday they may
be really glad they saw it. Additional exciting finds included a
Pacific wren and 2 javelinas. Now we’re hoping the Brant sticks around
tonight so we can go find it tomorrow!
