Great find! I know they hybridize regularly but when birding spring along the
coast I’ve only ever seen one hybrid before. Wonder why LBB seems to get mostly
hybrid blue-winged and golden-winged warblers? I may be mistaken, but I think
the few found in the last couple of years have all been hybrids.

In between it raining, Tucker and I braved the conditions and were rewarded
with a Blue-winged Warbler at Atzlan. After looking at it and chasing it down
several times there does seem to be some gray on the underside which we think
it’s good for hybridization. I’ll update what we hear back from people.
