We have had two pair of curved bill Thrashers for the past two years. They
are always moving our pea gravel onto the sidewalks. I now keep a small
whisk broom on the front porch to return the clutter they make to the brick
raised flower bed. But they know us! We can come and go and they don’t
fly off. But our neighbors of my folks come over and they fly off gif
awhile. So. interesting. They also go in and out our back porch thru the
doggie door. Other birds come in the doggie door and get stuck and we help
them out. Love our Thrashers!!

gardens onto the walkways, but is usually not too bad. Starting yesterday
evening I noticed leaf mulch spread all over the brick pavers, making a
real mess. Mary thought a storm had hit the backyard. The culprit is a
brown thrasher, I have them sometimes in my yard but never has one been so
dedicated to getting every little morsel in the litter. A small price to
pay to observe a brown thrasher up close.
