It was really was nice day out there.  Not too hot and a nice breeze at
times.

Eleven volunteers (many of them LEAS members) came out this morning and
put in the work to clean up Clapp Park. Two of the eleven are pictured with
only a portion of the debris collected. The Nature Trail was thoroughly
cleaned from topside to water’s edge. Many other areas of the park were
cleaned up also.

Many thanks to *Sheri Anderson* for arranging the event and scheduling
with the *City of Lubbock* to be present and bring supplies for the
effort. Partnering with the city is very helpful and important.

Come out next time if you can to assist. One park per month is the goal.

Happy birding on a currently very clean Clapp Park Nature Trail. On a side
note, we are also working with the city in an attempt to get the washed-out
bridge renovated in the near future.
