Hi all,
After seeing Floyd and Clarice's post, I couldn't help but to head down to
Dupree. I have been looking for Black-necked Stilts this spring, but have not
found them yet. By the time I got to Dupree, the numbers of Stilts and Avocets
had increased. There were also 4 Least Sandpipers that I missed on my first few
scans on the playa (they were sleeping next to a rock). Full list below:

1 Double-crested Cormorant -- Flyover. Spooked the peeps.

5 Black-necked Stilt
5 American Avocet -- Breeding plumage
4 Killdeer
1 Lesser Yellowlegs -- Beautiful plumage
4 Least Sandpiper -- Slightly drooping black bills, dark chests, white
eyebrows. White stomachs and sides. Brown backs. In flight, dark central stripe
on tail with white on either side and muted white stripe down center of wing.
Finally got a good look at leg color - olive

4 Mourning Dove
1 Barn Swallow -- Bluish on top with some brown underneath. Longer tail. Got a
quick drink and left.
