Warning Swainson’s eating a prairie dog
Last evening. I drove down both Fiddle wood and Boles lake roads.
I saw numerous grackles, western flycatchers, horned larks, burrowing owls, a
couple Swainson’s hawks and a coyote.
One Swainson’s off Fiddle wood was on a shorter pole in a field and was dining
on something. After enlarging I would say prairie dog?
The second Swainson’s hawk was over head on a pole off Boles lake road. It
took off to the east and swooped through the PDs and snagged a smaller one.
Here’s a couple pics of the first on off FW road.
