Greetings All:
I just had 27 Franklin's Gulls fly over my central Lubbock (roughly 34th
Street x Quaker Avenue) yard. This seemed a little late to me but is
consistent with the flight period of the species according to the *TOS
Handbook of Texas Birds* and is a little late per Seyffert's *Birds of the
Texas Panhandle*.
Also of interest - during the course of the prevening (4:00 to 5:45) at
least 200 Ring-billed Gulls heading southward over the yard.
Anthony Hewetson.
