Who's Ready to Count? With the 2019 Great Backyard Bird Count coming up
this Friday, February 15, let's do a last-minute check to be sure  you've
got everything you need.

How You Can Help Birds Now Birds face so many challenges today that it can
sometimes seem impossible to make a difference. But you can! Each time an
individual takes action to make the world a safer place for birds, it
matters--especially when one person is multiplied by thousands--or tens of

started by assembling a list of six easy things you can do to make life

Keep Counting the Birds!

Kudos for counting, but why stop when the GBBC is over? Continue counting
birds for science by joining Project FeederWatch in the United States and
Canada. If you join as a new or returning participant before the end of
February you can take advantage of a special deal. Anyone who signs up for
the rest of the current season, which ends in early April, will also be
signed up for the entire 2019-20 season at no extra charge. February 28 is
the last day to sign up for the current season and get this great deal. Sign

Get Your Certificate After you've taken part in the GBBC, don't forget to
download and print your participation certificate to commemorate the event.
You'll find a link to the certificate in the right column on the GBBC home
page under "Latest News." The certificates will be available in English,
French, and Spanish and will be posted just before the count begins. It's a
formal way of recognizing your contribution and another way to say, "You
rock!"
