Went on the LEAS birding outing at Lake 6 this morning (well kind of). I
was 10 min late but by the time Jan and I ran into each other it was 8:45.
I'm glad she found me because we were able to bird together for about 30
min before she had to leave and she showed me a spot just hopping with
sparrows. Turned out to be quite a birdy morning with a lot more going on
there than I expected. I stuck to the road and didn't venture below the dam
or on any of the trails since I was by myself most of the time. There were
Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warblers and Yellow Warblers along the road so who
knows what goodies were in the woods. Unfortunately, we did not see the
Least Tern, but fisherman were all around that area.
