Intrigued by the messages about the Golden-crowned Sparrow, Clarice and I
headed up there on Thursday morning, April 14, arriving about 10:30am.
Among the many White-crowned Sparrows visible from the blind, we saw in
immature, which looks considerable different from an immature
White-crowned, photo attached. I think it is an immature Golden-crowned,
correct me if I am wrong.
After an hour or so, we gave up, and took a drive through the park,
returning around 1pm.
We soon saw the mature Golden-crowned Sparrow, and I got a lot of photos.
The attached is representative, easy to identify this one.

Wild Turkey ( it kept gobbling, causing the little birds to scatter )

several different hawks spiraling around, did not stop to check closely
