This morning at 6:30 AM I was awoken by a owl hooting outside the bedroom
window, sure enough, sitting on top of my neighbor’s chimney, was a Great
Horned Owl!
Yesterday, during the high winds, I had several birds seeking refuge in a
side yard. Not only were they getting out of the wind, but I believe they
were attracted to a bird bath which sits on the ground. Those birds were:
Dark-eyed Juncos 6
White-throated Sparrow 1
Spotted Towhee 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Blue Jay 1
My resident Barn Owl continues to roost in the live oak trees in the front
yard.
