Two young ladies from
Glenda's Dupree Park cleanup crew this morning, Amber and Cienna, stopped at
our house to check out the yard birds.
Cienna spotted the Inca Dove on a wire above the back gate. I understand that
it was a lifer.
It looked so small with several large Doves nearby. Cienna said 'I
wish it would turn around so we could see its
front'. It promptly turned around, striking a pretty pose.
From what I can think of offhand:, we saw:
Inca Dove, only one, the highlight
Mourning Dove, one each
Eurasian Collared Dove - many
White-winged Dove - many
Red-winged Blackbird - 3 each, male, female, first year male
Mockingbird
Blue Jays - 5 or 6 came when Clarice 'whistled' for them
Grackle
House Finch - noticeably, 2 bright red males
House Sparrows
Pine Siskin, only one as far I know
American Robins
