Wow, Danny, that is amazing. The only time we have seen the Lesser Prairie-Chicken was April 21, 1979. We learned the location of their lek during an LEAS meeting, from Cliff Stogner I believe. It was a clearing in the oilfield southwest of Sundown TX. Clarice and I staked the place out in our car, and in late evening the birds came. They put on a noisy and entertaining courtship display. That was long before I tried photography of birds. I think those habitat areas near Sundown have been plowed up in recent years. Thanks for the photos.
