Greetings All:
One addendum from my trip to Hockley County yesterday: 12 Greater
White-fronted Geese near Whitharral.
This morning was about checking out some of Lubbock's hotspots, with
Angelina Zappia, in preparation for the upcoming CBC. Things were a tad
slow but we did come across 19 Wood Ducks at Leroy Elmore Park, 1 Eared
Grebe at Whisperwood Pond, 1 Greater Yellowlegs at Maxey Park, and 1
adult/1 immature Black-crowned Night Herons at Whisperwood Pond.
Waterfowl are starting to move in to the region but making a long list
requires some work. Winter songbirds are still in short supply.
