We had a nice walk around Maxey this morning. Lots to see including 2
American Avocet (first time to id), 2 Spotted Sandpiper, 1 Black-necked
Stilt, 1 Double-crested Cormorant, possibly a Turkey Vulture flying over
head (let me know if I'm correct), and 3 Snowy Egrets. Lots of flying
birds today, and felt lucky to catch the shots!
The usual suspects today at our backyard feeders. We still have the single
Inca Dove, up to 4 Mourning Doves - a high for the backyard, House
Sparrows, House Finches, a male Grackle who loves our bird bath,
White-winged Doves, a Northern Mockingbird and thoroughly enjoyed seeing
the female Cardinal this morning!
