Greetings,
Had at least three large mergansers on lake 6 this evening. When I found them
on my drive into the lake, what little light was left was behind them. By the
time I got around to the other side of the lake and refound them, most of the
light was gone. Based on what I could see in the dim light, I believe they
were Red-breasted. Perhaps, they’ll hang out until the CBC Saturday, or at
least until tomorrow so that they make count week with enough light for a good
ID.
