Greetings All:
We (Sheri Anderson and I) found two sets of two (possibly pairs)
Verdins along CR 3600 north of the 7300 x 3600 crossing in Yellowhouse
Canyon. One set was on the west side of the road roughly 1.30 miles
northward along 3600 and the other was on the west side of the road
roughly 1.75 miles northward along CR 3600.
I got a good look at one Harris's Sparrow (felt that there might have
been a second) but could not get Sheri on it before it disappeared
into thickets on the west side of 36600 roughly 1.05 miles northward
from the crossing.
There were a lot of White-crowned Sparrows along the road, several
Field Sparrows, and a couple of White-throated Sparrows - we were
unable to locate any American Tree Sparrows though this might be a
good route to look for one given that they seem to be moving into the
region this year.
