Despite the wind, I cruised the back roads of eastern Hockley County early
afternoon. I wish the wind and my schedule would cooperate.
I saw 2 Swainson’s. One on HWY 114 at the ranch west of Smyer and another one
on FM 1585 west of HWY 62/82.
Also 1 Say’s Pheobe and 3 Kestrels (1 male, 2 female). West and north of the
Ranch.
